Scope and ContentResearch materials for the fourth programme of a Granada Television Ltd series on the history of Apartheid, covering events during the period 1978-1986. Includes research documents and preparatory material, audio tapes and transcripts of research interviews and filmed interviews, and press cuttings. There is also a series of audio tapes and transcripts of research and filmed interviews for the first programme in the series, covering the origins of Apartheid; and a video tape of the completed version of the first three programmes.
NotesIn 1986, Granada Television Ltd screened a series of four programmes on the history and current state of Apartheid in South Africa. The four parts covered successive periods of time, and each was individually produced.
Conditions governing accessOpen for research although at least 24 hours notice before a research visit. However, access to individual items in archival collections may be restricted under the Data Protection Act or the Freedom of Information Act. Access to video material is restricted by copyright. Prior arrangement must be made to listen to the audio tapes.

The original order of documents, tapes and transcripts within series has been retained.
