Scope and ContentThis file contains 14 black and white photographic prints of a production of a short play by Jura Soyfer, "Der Lechner Edi schaut ins Paradies" ("Trip to Paradise") by the Austrian exile theatre company, Das Laterndl. The sketch was staged as part of the Laterndl's third cabaret show "Von Adam bis Adolf" ("From Adam to Adolf") at the company's home at Hampstead Concert Studio, 153 Finchley Road from March 1940. The photographs shows Peter Preses as Edi; Jaro Klüger as Pepi; Marianne Walla as Fritzi; Martin Miller as 'Ein Matrose' (a sailor) and others performing on stage. Some of the prints are duplicates of the photographs and negatives of six of the photographs.
